Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative
The Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative, Inc., is a partnership between the City of Delray Beach, the Community Redevelopment Agency and the Chamber of Commerce. The DBMC’s mission is to attract people to the City, create a positive image and increase awareness of Delray Beach for a positive economic impact through Destination Marketing, marketing programs, special events and community collaboration. The DBMC consists of Stephanie Immelman, Stephen Chrisanthus, Jarrod White & Tiffany Mazer.
Stephanie is a longtime marketing professional having worked for companies such as Continental Airlines and AT&T both in the USA and in Europe. She started her career in the travel industry at Continental, eventually managing the OnePass Elite frequent flyer program at company HQ in Houston. Stephanie earned her Master’s in International Relations at Boston University in Brussels, Belgium eventually running AT&T’s Competitor Intelligence division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Stephanie moved to London with AT&T and lived there for nine years working first in telecom then leaving to follow her dream of running an art gallery.
She eventually moved back to the USA to be closer to her family, bringing her South African husband, Franzswa, and two British cats along with her. “I’m delighted to be back in the US and to be able to bring my travel industry experience to help broadcast Delray Beach’s attributes to a wider audience”. Stephanie was instrumental in having Delray Beach named the Most Fun Small Town in the USA by Rand McNally, USA Today and the Travel Channel in July 2012. You can often see her tooling around on the Chamber’s golf cart taking journalists on a whirlwind tour of Delray Beach.
Whip smart and well educated, Stephen joined the team in October and has quickly become invaluable. He has a strong background in marketing and finance and is focused on destination marketing and promoting Delray Beach globally to business and leisure travelers with a goal of making a significant impact on the community’s economic development efforts.
The former owner and marketing manager of a beach club in the Mexican resort community of Cabo San Lucas, Chrisanthus works closely with local hotels, restaurants and others in the hospitality industry, hoping to increase tourism-related visits to the area throughout the year
Prior to coming to Delray Beach, Chrisanthus served as the director of marketing and business development for an independent finance and insurance company and has also held positions in the finance industry with JP Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley in Manhattan.
He holds a bachelors degree in communications from the College of Charleston and a masters degree in public relations from New York University. Despite his high level career background and education he doesn’t hesitate to tote boxes and move mountains if necessary.
Special Events Manager
Jarrod White is tasked with handling some of Delray Beach’s largest events on behalf of the City. Events produced by the DBMC include the Famous 100 Ft Christmas Tree, First Night New Year’s Eve Celebrations and July 4th. The Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative also produces signature events such as On The Ave and Dinner in the Sky.
