Other north-south arteries are U.S. 1, which runs through downtown Boynton Beach, and S.R. A1A, the scenic oceanfront highway.
For visitors arriving by air, Palm Beach International Airport is only 15 minutes away to the north, while Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is located 30 minutes to the south. Parks and Recreation Department
The Parks and Recreation Department at the City of Boynton Beach has a great deal to be excited about. The Intracoastal Park opened in the fall of 2003. This 2.3 million dollar project includes a Veteran’s Memorial, picnicking areas, and a small splash-playground for youngsters and beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. At Boat Club Park area boaters can launch and navigate in and out of the Boynton Inlet much easier thanks to the recent channel dredging and the new highly visible channel markers. Boaters have several other enhancements at Boat Club Park, along with the channel improvements, including 75 boat trailer parking spaces, renovated launching ramps and additional loading docks.
